The Foolproof Way To Avoid Getting Sucked Into The Facebook Newsfeed When Posting To Your Fanpage

No doubt about it — social media marketing can be a huge time drain.

One of the main reasons why it’s such a time drain is because when we get on a site like Facebook to create a post, the first place land is our newsfeed — and we naturally glance at the posts at the top of the page.  Then, without even realizing it, we are “off and scrolling” down the newsfeed.  Then we “wake up” 20, 30 or 40 minutes later and wonder “Why did I come here in the first place? Oh yeah, I had a great idea for something to post on my Fanpage…What was that idea anyway???”

Well, I have recently figured out a simple little solution for avoiding this common problem.

It’s so simple, I can almost hear your palm smack your forehead.

Ready for it?

Create a bookmark for your facebook fanpage. Put it in the bookmark bar on your browser.

Now, whenever you want to post something to facebook, just click on the link in your broswer bar to go directly to your fanpage, write your post — and then go do your other work (unless you planned to stay and “strategically mingle” on Facebook)

Not sure what I mean when I say, “Create a bookmark for your facebook fanpage. Put it in the bookmar bar on your browser.” — Just see the screenshot below.

Did your palm just hit your forehead?

Do you have some time-saving tips to share? Please leave them in the comments! I look forward to smacking my own forehead!
